{"id":98,"date":"2009-05-14T00:02:43","date_gmt":"2009-05-13T22:02:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.svenneve.com\/?p=98"},"modified":"2009-06-09T17:40:28","modified_gmt":"2009-06-09T15:40:28","slug":"fusion-hos_mayatoxic2dmv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.svenneve.com\/?p=98","title":{"rendered":"Fusion : HoS_MayaToxic2DMV.plugin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-57 alignleft\" title=\"eyeonfusion120\" src=\"http:\/\/www.svenneve.com\/wp-content\/2009\/05\/eyeonfusion120.jpg\" alt=\"eyeonfusion120\" width=\"80\" height=\"80\" \/>A Fusion plug-in that converts a Maya\/MentalRay 2D Motion Vector (2dMVToxik) render pass to a normalized data set that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.revisionfx.com\/products\/rsmb\/\" target=\"_blank\">Re:VisionFX&#8217;s ReelSmart Motion Blur<\/a> can us.<\/p>\n<p>All you as user need to do, is render out your 2dMVToxik pass as you normally would (either embedded as extra EXR pass or as a single RGB(A) file) and plug the following channels in the Background input:<\/p>\n<p>red -&gt; 2dMVToxic X-motion (the red channel by default.)<br \/>\ngreen -&gt; 2dMXToxik Y-motion (the green channel by default.)<\/p>\n<p>and plug the following channel into the Foreground input:<\/p>\n<p>alpha -&gt; the Alpha channel of the image that needs to be motion blurred.<\/p>\n<p>When you have done that, the plug-in normalizes the channels according to the Displacement value so that when placed into the FG input of a ReelSmart Motion Blur Vectors node with the Max Displace set to the same value as the Displacement value of this plug-in, it should work exactly like the data that is produced by a shading plug-in like,\u00a0 say <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alamaison.fr\/3d\/lm_2DMV\/lm_2DMV_ref.htm\" target=\"_blank\">lm2dmv<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This plug-in has been used extensively in our pipeline without any troubles so far, but should you run into something please let me know.<br \/>\nAt the moment i have only compiled a x86 version and some small updates are planned, so keep an eye out for those.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.svenneve.com\/wp-content\/2009\/05\/hos_mayatoxic2dmv.plugin\">download : hos_mayatoxic2dmv<\/a><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Fusion plug-in that converts a Maya\/MentalRay 2D Motion Vector (2dMVToxik) render pass to a normalized data set that Re:VisionFX&#8217;s ReelSmart Motion Blur can us.
